After months of rumors of Drake leaving Young Money to join Roc Nation, Drizzy has finally laid the rumors to rest. The rumors started when Drake was not included on YoungMoney’s Rich Gang compilation disc. In a recent interview Nicki Minaj did with Funk Master Flex on Hot 97, Flex asked Nicki were the rumors true which she tip toed around never giving a straight forward answer made people to believe the allegations may have been true.
In efforts to dead all rumors and whisper of Drake leaving YM, Lil Wayne brought Drake out on stage in Buffalo, NY to perform, “Versace, Versace, Versace.” Drake also took time out during the Hot 93.7 Jingle Jam concert in Hartford, Connecticut, to squash the rumor when he got on stage to perform telling fans if they thought he was leaving Young Money they are out of their f-cking minds.
I’ll tell you if you wake up in the morning and you think Young Money ain’t my team, you out of your motherfucking mind. My brother Lil Wayne is all the way in Australia right now, but I got my camera on in the back and I just want to let him know how much me and Hartford got for him. So if you got love for Lil Wayne, make some noise!”
Drake’s album Nothing Was The Same is set to release September 17th
Just two months after officially signing her deal with Roc Nation Sports, the 22-year-old WNBA star Skylar Diggins has become the new face for Nike Air Force 1 Downtown. Skylar took to Instagram to give a glimpse of the sneaker’s new ad campaign, which she captioned Upping my style game with #AF1. See you soon Chicago! #wincity.

This is definitely a good look for Roc Nation Sports !
Before working alongside Pharrell Williams and Rick Rubin on Jay-Z’s album Magna Carta Holy Grail, multi millionaire producer Timberland and Jay were not on speaking terms. According to Timberland the two had fall out over personal issues. During an interview with Diddy’s Revolt TV Timberland revealed
Me and Jay fell out, I missed his 40th, he didn’t miss mine he did sent me a gift. But I missed his, and it was over petty stuff, it was more personal stuff and disagreements it was not no industry related, it was more personal and I was wrong
Although Timberland said the tension between the two was not business related, Jay-Z tells a different story in a chat with BBC’s Zane Lowe.
He was still on Blueprint 3, but the fallout happened at the end of that album. A couple of songs was getting leaked that was his songs. That whole thing was just like…it just ruined the whole process. I wanted him and Kanye to produce — Kanye was the executive producer of Blueprint III and was like, “Let’s get Tim.” We were all inviting to him, and he just wasn’t accepting of the process. It seemed like it was more about him than the actual album.
When you go in and you make an album, you have to put all ego aside. I’m putting ego aside. Everyone has to put ego aside for the sake of the project. He wasn’t accepting of that. That was almost the last straw type of thing, so we just went our separate ways. After those concerts and he came back, I’d seen a new Timbaland. He had this maturity and this growth. I was like, “Oh, okay, this is gonna work out.
Featuring on the track titled “Sorry” will be singer Keri Hilson. Over the course of the years the BeyHive have been accusing Keri Hilson of shading Beyonce especially when she remixed her “Turning Me On” track in 2009. Keri will also be clearing up the air between her and Beyonce.
This could be the start of something really great. Timberland is currently signed to Roc Nation and Keri Hilson is on a music hiatus enjoying her boo thang. The song will be on Timberlands upcoming album Shock Value III. Watch Timberland and Jay-Z talk about their feud below along with the new song.
He’s internationally known on the microphone !

Roc Nation has teamed up with a campaign Budweiser which already includes Justin Timberlake. The campaign “Made For Music” will reach 85 countries starting next week, it includes Mark Romanek directed commercials featuring Rihanna and Jay-Z, limited-edition packaging, digital executions, out-of-home advertising and sponsorships of their respective concerts.
Budweiser’s idea for beer and music is mirroring the same idea Coke had with their brand where beer becomes a global beer brand. Ricardo Marques, Budweiser’s global advertising director stated
“music allows us to bring Budweiser back as an icon of pop culture. It has been a tremendous force in shaping pop culture around the world, it a universal language that transcends cultures, language and connects people from different backgrounds”
The brand will also partner with Facebook to create custom content, while putting on its YouTube channel behind-the-scenes footage of the TV campaign, “Dreams Are Made.”

Earlier this week rap mogul and Roc Nation boss Jay-Z stopped by The Breakfast Club at NYC’s own Power 105.1 for the first time to answer some questions fans have been dying to know. Jay’s latest album Magna Carter Holy Grail just dropped July 7 and already the album has gone platinum. While at The Breakfast Club Jay-Z dished out on the lyrics behind MCHG, almost signing Lil Wayne, fatherhood and more.
On “Holy Grail” lyrics
That song is about fame and the way fame is fleeting. The Holy Grail meaning like you chase this thing, these bright lights and these cameras and then you look back and want everything then end up with nothing. At some point you have to stop yourself. Do that whole first verse is me complaining about it; she cheats on me, she hangs out with Kanye West, Drake, and J. Cole. Then what I do? I took her back.
The second verse is about f*ck fame. It’s not really about anything. So I start to rationalize and it says, ‘There’s people dying back where I’m from,’ like putting it in real perspective. Like, I don’t care about this, people got real life problems where I live or where I grew up. People are dying and getting shot every day. Forty-something people got shot in Chicago. What do I care about being on Envy’s show? Let’s put it all in perspective–I got a good life, I got a great life and whatever comes with it, even the ridiculous rumors, it’s nothing compared to where I’ve been.
On almost signing Lil’ Wayne
The truth is after I had a meeting with Wayne I had a relationship with Baby. When I used to go to New Orleans I would hang out with him in the purple Prowler going down the street, no top, and people trying to jump in the car. I felt it was only right to call him. I called him out of respect like, ‘Yo, I was talking to Wayne and just letting you know.’ After that I think we received a letter at our office for like, tortuous interference, from a lawyer and I was like, ‘Whoa!’ and it just all went from there. I think I would rather lose that situation and do the right thing than the opposite. Because I think I could’ve signed him and told him after but I did the right thing and I’m cool with that decision.
On if he was mad at Lil Wayne for taking a shot at Beyonce
Nah, it’s a part of the sport and competition. I didn’t take it seriously. I didn’t view it as a threat. I thought it was just a flip of a line that I said because I had said, ‘You ain’t got my wifey money.’ I wasn’t really speaking to him but I guess he’s holding the flag so he did the right thing for his camp. I didn’t take it as a real threat; I took it as a flip of a line.
On if fatherhood has changed him
Absolutely. I hope I’m great, but I’m learning. It’s a new thing for me, and I guess it’s changed me in a way that… I mean… knowing what’s important, but I had a pretty good sense of that. It just reaffirmed the things I believed I knew.
On the rumors that Beyoncé faked her pregnancy
That’s probably the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever heard and the fact that people were running with that and had follow-up stories. At first, I thought it was one of those get press things, let’s run with it for press. Then slowly, I was like, ‘Oh, y’all believe this?’ That’s really messed up because the time when you’re supposed to be most joyous to have to deal with whether you say you care about it or not it’s annoying and you shouldn’t have to deal with that as a human being but that’s the position that we’re in.
