Tiara Thomas, the original female lead vocal on Wale’s track “Bad”, sat down with Laura Stylez on HOT97 to clear the air on the situation with MMG artist Wale.
As we all know “Bad” became the hottest track of the summer and instantly went #40 on the Billboard Top 100. Things got a little rocky between the artist shortly after Tiara decided to sign with Producer Rico Love’s, Division 1 label. Consequently Tiara was replace with Rihanna on the track and once word got out fans immediately went to Twitter calling Tiara disloyal to Wale and all that he had done for her over the years.
Earlier in the year Wale went to Hot97 and stated that Tiara met Rico through him which is why he felt so betrayed by her. Wale also stated he waited so long to sign her because he did not want to scare her off with paperwork and rather show her what he could do first. Well Tiara tells a different side of the story.

The Wale Situation
“What happened with that particular situation was I wrote “Bad” on my guitar. I did a Trillville cover. That “Some Cut” song. I did an acoustic cover of it. I had to think of something catchy. A catchy hook to sing along with this, so I just freestyled the hook for “Bad.” My friend Kelson and I actually produced the song in his bedroom. We put it on YouTube and ten months later, Wale heard it and he was like, ‘I want to put my verses on it.’ My manager at the time was like, ‘Wale this is your next single.’ I think he listened to it and he put verses on it.
